Elongated eggs attributed to carnivorous bipedal dinosaurs known as theropods have been found in Asia, North America, and Europe. Most of these eggs are attributed to oviraptors, a specialized group of fast-moving theropod dinosaurs. Like ostriches, oviraptors ran on two long legs and bore sharp toothless beaks. Elongated dinosaur eggs found in China range in size from 2 to 18 inches. |
