The Cretaceous Period, starting 145 million years ago was the last age of the dinosaurs. Hundreds of species of dinosaurs populated the Earth and prospered; however, they would not exist forever. For whatever reason, many species including dinosaurs, disappeared at the end of the Cretaceous Period, 65 million years ago. |
